Pontiac, Michigan -- In honor of Memorial Day and our nation’s fallen heroes, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson directed the county’s Facilities Management Department to drape a large American flag on the west wing of the Oakland County Circuit Court Building.
"It's a simple but poignant way to honor the men and women who died protecting our freedom – to proudly display the American flag they fought to defend," Patterson said.
The 30-foot by 60-foot banner will be on display until Tuesday. The court building is located at 1200 N. Telegraph in Pontiac. Individuals may observe the flag from northbound Telegraph as commuters approach the government campus.
