Media Advisory

The Fire & Ice Festival in downtown Rochester kicks off this evening from 6-9 p.m. with a 70 percent chance of snow. It's a great weather story as thousands of festival goers are expected to turn out to see the ice sculptures lining Main Street; try the new double tubes on the tube sledding hill; ice skate; watch the fireworks; or try some great Rochester fare in the Taste Fest tent and more all in the accumulating snow. The festival continues through the weekend.
Fire & Ice Festival is a great location for broadcast media who need live weather locations for the evening news. For media who stay into the evening, fireworks look spectacular against the falling snow.
