Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will be the keynote speaker at a groundbreaking ceremony for Magnolia by the Lakes, a $48 million senior housing complex in Keego Harbor. Joining Patterson will be Magnolia by the Lakes President & CEO Dr. Farideh R. Bagne, and Keego Harbor Mayor Sidney Rubin.

“This is a significant investment in Oakland County,” Patterson said. “Magnolia by the Lakes will boost the quality of life for our senior residents.” 

When construction is complete, Magnolia by the Lakes will be a premier independent, elder and assisted senior resort living village with 155 villas.

Also taking part in the event will be Keego Harbor Police Chief Kenneth G. Hurst; David Feldman, head of the Roeper School; Jeffrey Leithauser, vice president & managing director of corporate banking at Fifth Third Bank; and Alex Greenfield, senior congressional liaison for U.S. Rep. Gary Peters (D-Bloomfield). The Rev. Pierre Konja of Mother of God Chaldean Cathedral will give the benediction.

Refreshments will be served and there will be a live band.
