Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, a member of Oakland County’s Medical Main Street, is a revolutionary health and wellness hospital and community medical center recognized for its clinical excellence and innovative health services and architecture. The 191-bed, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver Certified, $360 million hospital promotes mind, body and spirit as essential elements in the healing process.
The hospital boasts its own organic greenhouse and partners with local farms to provide produce for the kitchen. It also offers patient education programs in healthy eating. The all-private patient rooms are designed with Feng Shui principles, featuring curved walls and stained glass windows. Each room overlooks a pond and woodlands, a landscaped atrium, or a green roof. The hospital also has its own “main street” of shops designed with elements of recycled architectural pieces.
