Deputy County Executive Matthew Gibb, on behalf of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, and Birmingham Mayor George Dilgard will hold a news conference to announce that Birmingham is joining Main Street Oakland County in the new associate level program. The announcement precedes Birmingham’s upcoming "Restaurant Week" event scheduled for the end of the month.
Birmingham is among Oakland County's premiere 32 downtown destinations featuring great restaurants, entertainment, and shopping.
Patterson and Dilgard will be joined by Birmingham Principal Shopping District Chairman Jeff Hockman and Executive Director John Heiney; and Main Street Oakland County Program Coordinator Bob Donohue. Other public officials from the city and county will be in attendance.
