Waterford, Michigan -- Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson is holding a news conference at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, to introduce an economic development pilot - the first of its kind in the state - designed to reduce delays and government red tape for business attraction and retention projects.

The event will be held in the first floor lobby of the Executive Office Building, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road in Waterford.

Patterson will announce the six Oakland County communities selected to be One Stop Ready communities. Officials from the local communities are expected to attend. The pilot is a project of the Department of Economic Development & Community Affairs.
