The Garden Hotline staff provides answers to Oakland County residents' questions about:
- nuisance pests/wildlife
- organic gardening
- native plantings
- specialty gardens (water, raised beds, etc.)
Services offered by the Garden Hotline are:
Samples of plant and insect/pest problems can be submitted for identification and management recommendations. Samples can be mailed or brought in directly during our regular office hours. Avoid mailing samples on Fridays. Diagnostic fee is $5.00 per visit. (Cash, check or credit card accepted)
Problem-solving via telephone
Currently questions can be directed to staff Mondays during the non-growing season (fall/winter), 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, by phoning 248-858-0902. Messages can be left at any time and calls will be returned. Closed major holidays.

October through March (non-growing season):
Open only on Mondays, 8:30 am to 12:00 noon
