The Legal Resources Center is CLOSED for In-Person Services:The Legal Aid Clinics are also suspended.The LRC staff is doing phone call and email service only.  This service is available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM to 4:30 PMWe will try to provide information and reference where possible.We encourage you to email your questions to us at oclib@oakgov.com or call us at 248-858-0012

Find court forms at the Michigan Supreme Court SCAO site and self-help legal information and forms at Michigan Legal Help. Qualifying individuals can find legal help through Lakeshore Legal Aid.

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Virtual (Remote) Legal Aid and Defender Clinic April 28, 2021

The Oakland County Legal Resources Center has partnered with Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. to find a solution to continue offering free legal assistance on civil, non-family law issues to low-income individuals while ensuring the health and safety of participants. 

  • In-person legal aid clinics remain suspended due to COVID-19. 
  • Offices remain closed, so walk-ins are prohibited
  • The clinic will be held on April 28, 2021 from 9 am to 3 pm.
  • Registration for the virtual clinic must be done in advance on Monday, April 26th and Tuesday, April 27th from 9 am to 3 pm by calling 248-858-0012
  •  Sessions are on a first come, first served basis.

Attorneys from Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. will inform individuals about court procedures and forms, advise them on their rights, and in some cases, represent them in court.
