Oakland County Legal Resources Center (LRC)

The Legal Resources Center is serving its clients virtually. The center is permanently closed to in-person visitors. 

Assistance is currently available by phone and email only, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For any additional questions, please email oclib@oakgov.com or call 248-858-0012.

Find court forms at the Michigan Supreme Court SCAO site and self-help legal information and forms at Michigan Legal Help. Qualifying individuals can find legal help through Lakeshore Legal Aid.


 ‭(Hidden)‬ Virtual (Remote) Legal Aid and Defender Clinic - March 15, 2023

The Oakland County Legal Resources Center has partnered with Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. to offer free legal assistance on civil, non-family law issues to low-income individuals. Attorneys from Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. will provide individuals with information on their rights, court procedures and forms, and in some cases, represent them in court.

The next virtual clinic will be held on Wednesday, March 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments will be available on a first come, first served basis and must be made in advance by calling 248-858-0012 on Monday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

*Please note that in-person legal aid clinics are suspended due to COVID-19 and the office is closed. Walk-ins are prohibited
