Schedule a Training Session

Content editor training sessions are available for groups and individuals who require access to update the website or send out email marketing. To schedule a training session, IT Liaisons enter a Change Order through Oakland County Service Center using the category “Internet Services.Update Permissions” and fill out the required fields. Please be sure to include windows of availability for the instructor to choose from as well.

Oakland County’s Application Services Team provides content editor training courses for content updaters on OakGov.com and email marketing administrators. Training is a prerequisite for administrator access to either application.

OakGov.com Content Editor Training

Duration: 2 Hours

Format: Remote, via Microsoft Teams*

How to Prepare: Be sure to have a working pair of headphones with a microphone, so you can speak with the instructor. If you need special accommodations, please coordinate with the instructor before your session.

After the Training: When the training is complete, your admin account will be activated. You will also receive a SharePoint 2013 guidebook and a link to the online Widget instructions from your instructor via email.

GovDelivery Topic Administrator Training

Duration: 1 Hour

Format: Remote, via Microsoft Teams*

How to Prepare: Be sure to have a working pair of headphones with a microphone, so you can speak with the instructor. If you need special accommodations, please coordinate with the instructor before your session.

After the Training: When the training is complete, your admin account will be activated. At this time, you will also receive instructions from GovDelivery to finalize account setup.


*Note: You will not be required to be on-camera during remote training sessions.
