Oakland County Enterprise GIS offers instructor-led training for representatives from a County agency or a local unit of government.
All classes are conducted in the Oakland County Information Technology Training Rooms. Each classroom is equipped with 16 workstations, giving students the opportunity for practical experience. Small class size ensures students have the chance to ask questions and receive individual attention.
Intro to Data & Maps
A diverse selection of data products and applications are available to members of the Oakland County ArcGIS Online Organization (OCAGO). This course is designed to give students an idea what resources are available to OCAGO members. Topics covered include:
Attendees are expected to have a basic understanding of GIS and ArcGIS Online prior to attending this class. Please see the Prerequisites for more information.

The basics and fundamentals of GIS, and Esri's ArcGIS Online platform, will not be covered in the Intro to Oakland County's ArcGIS Online Portal class. Therefore, completion of the following courses, or obtaining equivalent knowledge, is strongly encouraged:

Submit your completed and signed Training Registration Form to the IT Reception Desk or fax to (248) 858-1006. You will receive a confirmation email verifying that your seat is confirmed. If you do not receive a confirmation email before the date of your requested class, please contact email@example.com or call (248) 858-0810 to make sure that your registration form was received.
GIS/CAMS Office Hours
GIS Office Hours are available to County, RCOC, and Oakland County City/Village/Township staff for assistance with specific GIS workflows. Once we receive your request, we will pair you up with an appropriate person on our side who can sit with you in a training room for a morning or afternoon and dive deeper into your question than a typical Service Center incident might allow.

- Creating an ArcGIS Online Story Map
- Editing in the CAMS GIS Database
- Collecting GIS data on a mobile device
- Using Maps for Office to make a map from a spreadsheet
- Design a new data layer
