Email Subscription Service

Oakland County has contracted with GovDelivery, a leading provider of email subscription services for government, to expand its email notification and news delivery service to each of our 62 local governments in addition to all County departments, who in turn may use the system free of charge to build email distribution lists, send out newsletters and generate cell phone text messages. This unique offering will allow a citizen to go to their local government website to sign-up for information, updates and alerts from the local CVTs to the County-level, delivering critical public information relevant on a regional basis.

It's one of the newest and fastest ways to update your citizens with current news and information delivered to them via email or wireless device. Your citizens sign-up for the free service right from your website's home page, and they can select to receive information on a variety of topics -- depending on which you choose to offer. You can use this email list to let them know when a web page is updated on your site, or to send newsletters and messages anytime of the day.​
You will sign-up with us (send an email to or call 248-858-8812) to get an account. Then we train you and help you implement the service on your website. There will be a link placed on your home page, and any other page you wish, where your site visitors will be able to provide their email address and set their preferences. After that your email subscription list will grow and you will be able to send as many emails or notifications as needed.
