Information Technology

Oakland County's Department of Information Technology (IT) plays an integral role in County operations by developing, integrating and maintaining innovative technology programs. IT provides service to all units of County government, as well local municipalities and County-affiliated companies, organizations and individuals.

About the Department

​The Department of Information Technology (IT) is a service bureau that provides centralized IT services to 82 County divisions, more than 100 local governmental units (assessors, treasurers, law enforcement, etc.), over 50 private sector customers, and over 1,700 Access Oakland customers.

IT is responsible for over 150 major applications consisting of more than 8,000 programs and provides systems support, maintenance, enhancements, and new development for all major systems applications.
