Child Passenger Safety

The Child Passenger Safety Program provides

• Car seat safety checks performed by a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician
• Education about the proper use and installation of child restraint systems
  
• Information for parents and care givers about how to keep children safe in motor vehicles

For clients that qualify, the Child Passenger Safety Program offers assistance in obtaining child safety seats for children riding unrestrained. Qualifications for assistance include:

• Must be an active Women, Infants & Children (WIC) client
  
• Must be an Oakland County resident
• Must have an automobile
