Accepted Payment Methods

The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office accepts credit card and bank (ACH) payments online. There is a Service Fee charged for each transaction. There is a 3.5% fee for credit card transactions and a flat $2.50 per bank (ACH) payment. See Service Fee Chart. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Debit cards are accepted with a Visa or MasterCard logo, without a PIN, and are processed like a credit card.

Private Autopsy

Request for a private autopsy is subject to the Medical Examiner's approval. Please do not make a payment for a private autopsy until approval has been received.
