The charge on your credit card or bank statement is the Service Fee associated with a payment that you made at a participating government agency. The Service Fee is the fee to use your credit card or electronic check for a payment. The payment could have been for property taxes, a water bill, traffic ticket, court fees, birth certificate, court papers, etc.
