Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson appointed Ken Rogers as Deputy County Executive for Oakland County in June 1996. Ken oversees the operation of Public Services and is a member of the Budget Task Force. Mr. Rogers is also on loan from Oakland County as he oversees Automation Alley Technology Consortium, a 501(c)3/501(c)6 organization, in an Executive Director capacity.

Oakland County Achievements:
In January 1993, Mr. Rogers was appointed by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson to serve as Director of the Department of Community & Economic Development. In that capacity, Rogers' responsibilities included three divisions: Community Development, Development & Planning, and Equalization.
Mr. Rogers received his Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and an Honorary Doctor of Public Service from Central Michigan University. He was the former co-owner of Evans and Associates Incorporated, an Oakland County Real Estate and Development Company, and was one of the founders of Oakland County's Economic Development Corporation (EDC).
