The Office of Arts, Culture & Film ​serves to enhance, strengthen and promote the arts and cultural life in Oakland County through advocacy, promotion, funding and programming initiatives.

Purpose 

  • To encourage community building
  • To preserve and celebrate the unique and intrinsic qualities of communities located within Oakland County
  • To foster cross-cultural understanding
  • To provide life-long learning opportunities
  • To provide opportunities and support to Oakland artists and arts organizations

  • Assemble and distribute a cultural calendar of events
  • Funding for arts, culture and film projects
  • Administer Michigan Council of Arts and Cultural Affairs Regional Regranting Program

  • Present visual arts exhibitions in the County's Galleria
