The 50th District Court is temporarily closed to the general public except for essential functions relating to health and safety, while safeguarding rights guaranteed by the Constitution. 


Declaration of Emergency Measures to Reduce COVID-19 Risk

On March 15, 2020, the Michigan Supreme Court authorized implementation of emergency measures to enable continued trial court services while mitigating the risk of further transmission of COVID-19.  The following changes in 50th District Court operations are effective at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in order to provide the greatest protection to those who work and conduct business at our court:

Pontiac, MI – March 27, 2020 - In light of Governor Whitmer’s executive order directing Michigan residents to “stay home, be safe”, and as authorized by Michigan Supreme Court Administrative Orders No. 2020-2 and 2020-5, the 50th District Court has updated its Declaration of Emergency Measures to Reduce COVID-19 Risk. The Court’s priority is the health of all staff and the public. The following measures will be in effect through at least Tuesday, April 14, 2020 (Due to the fluidity of the pandemic, these measures are subject to extension, revision, or cancellation at any point without advance notice):
