The Court's Business Division was created as a direct result of the administrative merger of the Circuit and the Probate Courts. This division is responsible for the development and delivery of business and administrative support services for both Courts.
In order to manage its diverse and complex responsibilities effectively, this division is divided into three primary units of operation:
(1) The Administrative/Financial Unit is responsible for the development and monitoring of the Court's budget, processing all payments for services including court-appointed attorney payments, managing personnel transactions and record keeping activities, and managing courthouse and satellite office facilities and equipment.
(2) The Data/Technology Unit responsibilities include the advancement of court automation, managing day-to-day computer and network issues, and implementation of new court technology initiatives. This unit also provides word processing and court reporting support for Probate and Circuit Courts.
(3) Court Resource and Program Specialist is an area of general responsibility that directs the Courts' efforts in providing informational, technical, and administrative support services to the Courts and outside agencies. This area also coordinates special projects and events, develops alternative fund sources through grant writing, and manages public information through Web site, brochure and report development, and media relations.
