NOTICE OF CHANGES TO THE JUDGE'S CRIMINAL CALL PROCESS
BEGINNING THE WEEK OF APRIL 4, 2022

This notice sets forth changes to Judge Rae Lee Chabot's handling of criminal call proceedings as of Monday, April 4, 2022.

Defendants incarcerated in the Oakland County Jail or at any other facility located in the State of Michigan will appear before Judge Chabot via Zoom (Zoom ID is 248-858-0335) on Tuesdays at 12:00pm. However, attorneys for those defendants, as well as prosecutors, witnesses, observers, and any other parties interested in the proceedings, will be required to join Judge Chabot live in Courtroom 1A.

All criminal matters involving nonincarcerated individuals will be conducted live in Courtroom 1A on Tuesdays as scheduled. Defendants who have been released on bond, along with defense attorneys, prosecutors, witnesses, observers, and any other interested parties, must appear in person before Judge Chabot in Courtroom 1A.

Judge Chabot and her staff thank you for your cooperation as we begin to reimplement pre-pandemic court procedures. 

Please note Judge Chabot's MOTION CALL IS IN-PERSON as well. Litigants are expected to appear in courtroom 1A.
