Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers provide important services for their community. They come from all walksGift Team of life -- bringing with them many special talents, but ultimately sharing one fundamental quality: the joy of helping others.

In the Oakland County Sixth Judicial Circuit Court, volunteers can participate in activities that aid people of all ages.

Adult residents of Oakland County can become more involved with the Court through one-to-one involvement in juvenile guardianships or mentorships or as part of a team in an advisory capacity. Please review the opportunities below and see what fits for you.

Citizens Alliance for the Oakland County Probate and Circuit Courts: Develop community-based programs and become an advocate for children, seniors and others by increasing communication between the Oakland County Circuit Court and County residents.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates): Become a trained CASA volunteer and become intimately involved with the Oakland County Probate Court by reviewing minor guardianships.

Mentors PLUS: Be a mentor and help guide a troubled child or young adult back on the right track through your attention, support and valuable gift of time.

Oakland County Youth Assistance: Interested in preventing delinquency, abuse and neglect on the local level? There are Youth Assistance offices in most Oakland County communities.

Oakland County Youth Assistance Coordinating Council, Inc.: The Coordinating Council helps support and maintain Oakland County Youth Assistance offices through fundraising and policy development on the County level.
