U.S. Customs service can be available between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. and on weekends. Please contact CBP for availability at 734-942-9000. Pilots wishing to utilize Customs after hours or on weekends must make the request in writing and fax it to 734-942-4842. If you have any questions, contact a CBP Supervisor at 734-942-9000.

This service improves the convenience and saves time for international travelers by eliminating the need for an intermediate stop to clear customs. Oakland County International Airport is a user-fee CBP operation. Because the airport provides the agents as a service to users, there is a fee based on aircraft weight. Please be advised that overtime charges can be substantial and are in addition to the charges indicated below.

User-fees associated with CBP will be invoiced by Airport Administration two months following the actual clearance. Prior approval for all clearances is required. Regulated Garbage

With the exception of Canada, ALL aircraft arriving from foreign countries are required to schedule Regulated Garbage (RG) clearance with a company under a CBP-USDA Compliance Agreement. The RG Company will meet the aircraft at the Customs location to verify and/or remove all Regulated Garbage.  Otherwise, you can submit an overtime request to have a CBP Agriculture Specialist meet the aircraft and inspect/remove all Regulated Garbage.
