The Register of Deeds Office creates a public record for all land situated in Oakland County. This includes deeds, mortgages, foreclosure records and personal property filings. By using uslandrecords.com or Super Index you can obtain copies of any recorded document(s) back to January 1, 1964 with the exception of subdivision plat maps.
Documents that are brought to our office to be recorded are scanned and microfilmed by the most modern methods ensuring safety and replacement at any time. Documents are indexed and returned to the submitter promptly by U.S. Mail unless otherwise noted.
PLEASE NOTE: This office does not handle birth certificates, other vital records or UCC filings for transferring utilities.
