Oakland County Michigan Works! supports young adults ages 16–24 in gaining real-world experience through paid internships offered year-round. These opportunities allow you to explore career interests, build your resume, develop professional skills, and earn income while learning.

Internship positions are available across a variety of industries throughout Oakland County, including healthcare, advanced manufacturing, information technology, skilled trades, business services, and more. Whether you are exploring career options or preparing for your next step after high school or training, internships can help you gain valuable hands-on experience.

How to Get Started

If you are interested in exploring internship opportunities, complete the Oakland NEXT Application and select “Internship” as the program of interest.  

Once your application is received, a Career Advisor will contact you directly to:
