OAKLAND COUNTY CHAIRMAN APPOINTED TO SERVE AS A MEMBER OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE’S BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE FOR MICHIGAN
(Pontiac, Michigan)--- Oakland County Board of Commissioners’ Chairman Michael J. Gingell has been selected to serve on the Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s newly formed Business Roundtable, which is the first of its kind for this division of government.
As one of 13 roundtable members personally selected by Johnson, Chairman Gingell will bring a wealth of business and governmental knowledge. He will serve with many leaders from across the state who will work closely with Secretary Johnson to recommend cost-saving measures, streamline operations and implement business efficiencies for the Secretary of State’s Office.
“I am looking forward to working with Secretary of State Ruth Johnson and the many leaders who have committed to assisting her efforts in creating an innovative, customer-focused service model that will best serve the taxpayers,” stated Chairman Michael J. Gingell.
Chairman Gingell was honored when Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced his appointment at the recent Detroit Regional Chamber’s 2011 Mackinac Policy Conference’s “Era of Change” discussion.
Gingell is currently vice president of corporate development for R.L. Polk and is the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairman. He is a native of the Orion Township Area and is a direct descendent of the founders of Gingellville.
