The Board of the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) was established pursuant to the Michigan Compiled Law, M.C.L. 224.6, and consists of 3 members appointed to 6-year terms. The Board establishes RCOC policies, administers the budget, and hires the managing director. The RCOC is responsible for maintenance of the county road system, construction of new county roads, and improvement of existing roads.
The Chairperson's salary is $11,000. The 2 Commissioners receive $10,000. The Board normally meets twice a month on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m., at 31001 Lahser Road, Beverly Hills.
