2021 Airport Open House / Air Show Cancelled

We are sad to announce that the 2021 Airport Open House / Air Show has been cancelled.

Based on Michigan’s alarming increased COVID numbers and health officials recommendations it was felt that we could not provide a safe environment for our guests, vendors, performers, and volunteers.

We look forward to bigger and better Open House / Air Show in 2022.

About the Oakland County Airports

Oakland County is proud to manage 3 airports, including Oakland County International Airport, which ranks as the 99th busiest airport in the nation with 131,294 takeoffs and landings. It is ranked as the nation's thirteenth busiest general aviation airport and second to Detroit Metro in Michigan (2017 data).

Over 1/2 million passengers and pilots pass through the airport every year. More than 554 private and corporate aircraft are based here. In the course of a year virtually all the Fortune 500 companies use the airport. The airport contributes over $584 million to the County's economy each year. The aggregate tax contribution of airport businesses ranks the OCIA community the second highest taxpayer in Waterford Township.
