MI Great Artistâ„¢: Visual Art Competition

L. Brooks Patterson

An Initiative of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson

MI Great Artistâ„¢ is one of Oakland County's premier quality of life events.

County Executive L. Brooks Patterson launched the competition in 2012 as a quality of life initiative to support up-and-coming artists and to encourage creativity in the residents who live, work or attend school  in one of the eight (8) Michigan counties: Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Shiawassee, St. Clair or Wayne.

MI Great Artistâ„¢ is an online art competition for visual artists, 18 years and older. Entrants may submit up to five original works of art online at MIGreatArtist.com for a public vote to determine the top 30 artists. The "People's Choice" winner (the artist receiving the most votes) is automatically one of the finalists. A panel of arts professionals will choose four other finalists and ultimately the winner.
