Economic Context, Community Vision, and Management Structure (6/22/2016)

Viewing your community's place in the larger economic context is an essential starting point for long term success. How are communities and counties linked economically? Successful communities not only have this understanding but they also employ a skilled staff empowered to make decisions. Clear lines of authority and responsibility should be set so that staff understand what development decisions they can make, and that they know elected and appointed officials will support them.
