Active trail and pathway planning has been going on in Oakland County for more than 40 years. This resulting non-motorized network is envisioned to serve a diverse range of users of all ages and abilities, to promote active and healthy lifestyles and to provide safe and well-maintained linkages to important natural, cultural and civic destinations and other points of interest within and outside the county.

The following tools may be used to develop a district, board, and possible funding mechanisms for improvements, development and redevelopment projects.​

Oakland County Planning Services maintains the county's Solid Waste Plan, administers a household hazardous waste program, and provides recycling and disposal information to residents.

Our mission is to provide our local communities with the resources, tools, and trainings necessary to capitalize on community strengths, refine economic development processes, and implement local vision.
