Shaun Moore is director of e-Learning and Instructional Support at Oakland University (OU) in Rochester. He is also part-time faculty in the School of Business and the Writing and Rhetoric departments. He is a Meadow Brook Writing Project (MBWP) teacher consultant and facilitator for the MBWP Summer Youth Writing Camps, specializing in digital storytelling.
In 2001, Shaun joined OU while getting his Bachelor of Arts in English and French. After being hired full-time in the e-Learning department, Shaun received a Masters of Arts in English, and recently earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, with a specialization in higher education.
With over 15 years of experience in the field of online learning, Shaun leads a talented team that provides support for OU’s teaching with technology software, such as Moodle, WebEx and Panopto. Shaun’s research in online learning has taken him across the country to present at many different conferences. His current research focus is on quality online education and best practices in faculty development.
When not at work, Shaun and his wife Christina Moore have a son Hawthorne, who turns two in June, and are expecting their second child in September.
