Matt Einheuser is watershed ecologist for the Clinton River Watershed Council, where he is respon
e for the coordination of the organization’s technical needs through data collection, ecology, field research and stewardship programs.
He works closely with communities, residents, and partners to work toward the protection and restoration of our water resources in the area. Matt worked as a conservationist with landowners and the agricultural community to address natural resource concerns and water quality issues.
Matt received his B.S. in Fisheries and
Wildlife from Michigan State University, as well as a M.S. from MSU in Crop and Soil Sciences, studying the effects of land-use change on stream health.
In his free time, Matt volunteers at his church and enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He loves the outdoors throughout the state and in Oakland County, where he loves hunting, fishing and camping. In both his professional and personal life, Matt’s goals are to pass on the resources and opportunities that he has enjoyed while growing up to the next generation.
