Katie Rohrhoff is a staff nurse in pediatrics at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. She has a bachelor's degree in nursing from The University of Detroit Mercy and a master's degree in nursing education from Oakland University. She was previously a nurse educator in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital of Michigan and was awarded Nurse of the Year in Education in 2012.
Katie is the vice president and co-founder of The Riley Katheryn Foundation, a Michigan-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of infant death and providing financial support related to funeral and burial expenses to families whose baby has died.
Katie and her husband John started The Riley Katheryn Foundation in memory of their twin daughter, Riley Katheryn, stillborn in November of 2009. Since its start in the fall of 2015, the foundation has assisted more than 30 Michigan families.
Katie is also the 2017 executive vice president for The South Lyon Area Junior Chamber. She was the public relations director for 2016 and a member since 2015. Katie is married and has two surviving daughters, Payton and Morgan.
