Jessica Knapik is a program analyst in the Records, Registration & Veteran Services Office at Walsh College. In her 15 years at the college, she has been involved in a variety of projects, including report-building, maintaining web and portal pages, project implementation, coordinating a community outreach program, event planning, creating email campaigns, writing blogs, processing student ID cards, and providing student services.
In 2008, she launched an outreach program connecting Walsh College with a Detroit school. Knapik has also organized collection drives, coordinated a monthly tutoring program for two classrooms, hosted annual field trips, planned an annual Santa visit with gifts for the children, recently started collecting box tops for two classrooms, and organized a new veteran assembly in 2017. In nine years, the program has made a positive impression on more than 400 children, and the Walsh community has volunteered over 350 hours.
Outside of her job, Knapik is an active volunteer in the community. In 2012, she joined the regional conference planning committee for Ellucian, a company that delivers technology solutions for educational institutions. She serves as marketing & communications coordinator for the Great Lakes Users Group. She is a member of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, serving on the marketing & communications committee as e-blast manager.
For seven years, she volunteered with Gilda’s Club as an event-planning committee member. In 2014, she was recognized as dBusiness’ “Thirty in their Thirties.” She has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Oakland University and a master’s degree in management from Walsh College.
