Linda Williams is the economic and community engagement supervisor for Madison Heights. She is responsible for coordinating the city's economic development, community outreach, communications, and branding programs through the web and social media.  In partnership with other business resource organizations and agencies, she assists small businesses, including entrepreneurs, start-ups and first- and second-stage companies. Williams specifically targets industry sectors that make sense for the city, focusing on diversifying the local economy, using the city's innovative manufacturing infrastructure, highly skilled workforce and direct access to major freeways. She helped create the Entrepreneur Lounge or E-Lounge, where guest speakers are invited to share helpful tips and inspiring messages for entrepreneurs. For emerging and established companies, Williams serves as a resource to support their ongoing success. She facilitates match-making meetings and virtual introductions for companies wanting to explore new business opportunities as well as providing technical/administrative assistance to various city departments and elected officials.  She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Oakland University and has more than 17 years' experience in municipal government.
