Jonathan Schwartz is an attorney at
Seyburn Kahn, P.C. where he represents companies and individuals in a variety of
business, complex commercial and employment litigation matters in state and
federal courts. He has been recognized for his legal acumen, dedication, and
ability to obtain successful and cost-effective results for clients. For the
past three years, he was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Business
Litigation. In addition, Schwartz was
honored by a DBusiness Magazine in 2016 as a Top Commercial Litigator. He was named to Michigan Lawyers Weekly's
select Up & Coming Lawyers Class of 2015.
Schwartz co-founded the Jewish Bar Association of Michigan (JBAM), which hosts
numerous educational, networking and charitable events, and serves as its vice
president In 2013, he was elected to the
Arts, Communications, Entertainment and Sports Section of the State Bar of
Michigan's governing council, and then was elected to the Executive Board as
Treasurer, and now Secretary. He is slated to be president in 2017. Schwartz
was named an Oakland County Bar Foundation Fellow and was chosen as a Barrister
for the American Inns of Court, Oakland County Chapter (now serving as a
Barrister Emeritus after two years of service). He serves in a leadership role
on the Board of Directors of several community organizations, including Patriot
Week, the Oakland County Prosecutor's Foundation for Kids, NextGen Detroit and
the University of Michigan. He received his undergraduate degree from the
University of Michigan and his juris doctorate from Wayne State University Law
