Kristen has been at the Dobrusin Law Firm for 10 years, where she is managing partner. Her responsibilities are broadly spread and include managing the office, hiring staff and maintaining and expanding her own client base. Her focus is to create an environment where everyone feels valued for contributing. At Kristen’s request, the firm proudly supports the Pontiac business community and revitalization efforts. The firm also sponsors the Holiday Extravaganza Parade and the Canvas Pontiac art event to name a few.
Kristen has been involved with the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, where she will be sworn in as president in April. She is vice president of the Women's Bar Association of Oakland County. Kristen is involved in the Macomb-OU INCubator, where she provides free advice to clients concerning intellectual property matters for a wide variety of businesses.
She is a volunteer instructor at the Tech Shop where she provides monthly "Intellectual Property 101" courses for entrepreneurs. She is a member of the parking committee, serves as counsel for the Great Lakes Agricultural Fair and is a member of the first Downtown Pontiac Local Business Network.
Kristen received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. In 2013 she was awarded the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Women in the Law Award. She was also recognized as a Super Lawyers RisingStar in 2014 and 2015.
