Bingo Pet Salon
Brian is owner of Bingo Pet Salon in downtown Royal Oak. Six months into his ownership, he turned it around from losing $5,000 a month into a profitable business. In 2014, Brian started Bingo Cares, which offers free grooming to rescue dogs and cats. The salon’s reputation has grown so quickly that it plans to open the Bingo Institute of Grooming this summer to teach new groomers how to properly groom dogs and cats. The salon was honored with a business appreciation award from the NBS Animal Rescue, and was named Best of Hour Magazine and the Royal Oak Patch in 2012.
Brian is passionate about his involvement in his community, and FiftyTwo4Mom, the nonprofit organization he co-founded to help raise awareness of vision loss. The organization works towards increasing awareness; raising money for research, and to help finance individuals who suffer from vision loss. His organization has been listed as a top-rated nonprofit by nonprofits.org, and has been a semi-finalist for the national Classy Awards.
Brian received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his graduate degree from Wayne State University. He was nominated for the Special Service Award by Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce, and he was named 2012 Sports Person of the Year by the LGBT Pride Banquet.
