Thomas has been an important part of several high-profile development projects in Southeastern Michigan: the financing of the Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac and the renovation of the Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. In 2009, he was selected as sole outside real estate counsel to Delphi Automotive Corporation in connection with its emergence from bankruptcy protection, and was responsible for the successful transfer of nearly 50 manufacturing and office facilities located throughout the United States.
A member of the Real Estate/Property Management Committee for the Lighthouse Community Development, Thomas works closely with members of the board and its parents company Lighthouse of Oakland County to develop a long-term strategic plan. He continues to assist Lighthouse in the development of affordable housing in Pontiac, and has worked in all facets of its property management and development activities.


Thomas was named a rising star in real estate by Michigan Super Lawyers in 2012, and is a member of Leadership Oakland Class XXI.
