Brand Identity, Design, & Art Programs Manager
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services
Leila Matta started her career in Oakland County with one mission: to inspire people to find personal meaning in art. As Mercedes-Benz Financial Services’ Brand Identity, Design, & Art Programs Manager, Leila is responsible for all things visual in the Americas region. This involves managing the development and application of the Mercedes-Benz visual identity system, as well as cultivating creativity in and outside the company.
Known as the in-house art curator at MBFS, Leila creates annual art exhibitions, including exhibitions from Cranbrook Art Academy graduate students, Detroit Public School children and MBFS employees. She creates printed art catalogues, online galleries and interactive/educational programming using art as a tool for learning and development.
As a board member on the Founders Junior Council (FJC) of the Detroit Institute of Arts, Leila helps promote and position the DIA throughout the Detroit area. Using her expertise in
brand identity and communication design, her contributions include the design of marketing communications for FJC fundraising events and supporting the redesign of the group’s visual identity system.
Outside of MBFS, Leila has served as a Kresge art juror in Detroit and was recently a featured speaker at an international art conference in South Korea, where she represented Michigan and Oakland County to diverse audiences.
