An Oakland County employee since 1996, Nicole has over twelve years of economic development experience. In 2001, Nicole joined the Oakland County Business Finance Corporation and had the opportunity to serve in a variety of capacities within the organization. As a Loan and Finance Officer, she was responsible for the marketing and packaging of the SBA 504 loan program and the Tax Exempt Industrial Revenue Bond program (IRB). In this position, she assisted small businesses with obtaining fixed asset financing for projects ranging from $150,000 to $10,000,000. As a Business Consultant at the Oakland County Business Center/MI-SBTDC, Nicole provided support to small businesses in Oakland County. This support was provided through one on one counseling, educational, and referral services.
In her current role, as a Business Development Representative/Medical Main Street Team leader, she supports the existing business community by identifying programs and services to assist with their continued growth. She works with the Business Development team to develop strategies to attract new business to Oakland County. Nicole specializes in working with companies in the life science industry through Oakland County's Medical Main Street. As part of Southeast Michigan's growing life sciences cluster, Medical Main Street is a unique alliance of world-class hospitals, universities, medical device, biopharma companies and some of the country's top medical professionals creating a global center of innovation in health care, research and development, education and commercialization in the life sciences industry. During the past twelve years, she was able to build strong working relationships with many public and private organizations throughout the State of Michigan.
Nicole has an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Oakland Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Public Policy from Oakland University. She is a graduate of Leadership Oakland XX and a former Board Member of the Baldwin Center located in the City of Pontiac.
