I was born and raised in the Flint area. I grew up working in the family business with my parents at an early age. I learned that hard work and a good attitude can lead to endless opportunities. I attended the University of Michigan for both my undergraduate and dental education. I then took the leap of faith and obtained my Oral Surgery and Masters Degree from The Ohio State University. I must always remind everyone that I am a Wolverine to my core! I moved back to Michigan and currently live and work in Oakland County with my beautiful wife and kids.
I joined Oral and Facial Surgeons of Michigan in July 2010 as an associate surgeon. I then obtained my surgical privileges at Doctors Hospital of Michigan, McLaren Oakland, and Huron Valley DMC in 2010. I recently became partner in our surgical group and have been the primary facial trauma surgeon at McLaren Oakland since May 2012. I enjoy educating my fellow dental and medical colleagues in the unique field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery that ranges from dental tooth extractions and dental implants to extensive facial reconstruction. Our practice makes patient care our number one priority.
I have been a part of the Oakland County Dental Society since 2010 and began taking a more active role in 2011 by becoming the chairman of the young dentist division which had been declining the past 7 years. Since accepting the position I have been able to maintain high turnout for all of our educational seminars, community service and social events. My plan is to continue the process to encourage education and community support. I was selected as a council member of the board for the Oakland County Dental Society in 2012 and will continue my second term in 2013.
I maintain active enrollment in many dental and oral/maxillofacial society groups that allows me to maintain good relationships with the dental and medical comminutes.
Oakland County Involvement
Having lived in Oakland County for 2 years I am just getting started in my long term goals of giving back and supporting our community. I look forward to continue the commitment from me and my practice to local schools and groups. We have had a long history of supporting programs in Waterford, Clarkston and Pontiac. My plan is to continue supporting the community in as many aspects as possible. I partake in many programs for children's oral health such as MI Child and Healthy Kids in an effort to educate our children and young adults on how to take care of themselves.
