As Executive Chef of the Union Woodshop in Clarkston, Chef Aaron Cozadd demonstrated an ability to reinvent that has come to stand for the resilience of Main Street, America. It also helped the Union Woodshop earn the 2011 Detroit Free Press Restaurant of the Year award, a feature in Food & Wine magazine and a special segment on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
More recently, Chef Cozadd has been working with the Clarkston Union and Union Woodshop owners to establish their next independent venue: Vinsetta Garage in Berkley. Despite his years, 30-year old Chef Cozadd has amassed experience and education in a multitude of settings: from a high-rise approach at the Ren Cen to the comfort-food confines of the Clarkston Union.
His training at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) exposed him to a wealth of ingredients and forever fueled his commitment to true locavore practices. It’s a commitment that the diners of Oakland County and beyond have come to appreciate.
