Land Use and Zoning,
The mission of the Land Use and Zoning Program is to prepare and provide land use, zoning, and master plan information to and for Oakland County communities to enhance coordination of land use decision-making.

Oakland County is mandated under Michigan law to review all Master Plans and Master Plan amendments prior to adoption. The county also reviews township rezoning where the property abuts a community boundary or county-owned property.

Composite Master Plans - Oakland County's composite master plan maps represent a generalized future land use based on each community's master plan.

Planned Commercial/Office and Industrial Area Maps - These maps differentiate between developed parcels and undeveloped parcels. They reflect a generalized future land use based on each community's master plan and do not indicate current zoning or the intensity of use permitted by the zoning ordinance.

Community Zoning Ordinance and Master Plan Links - Connect to each Oakland County community's zoning ordinance, zoning map, and master plan, if available online.

Downtown Development Authorities - Below are links to a series of maps that reflect the boundaries of currently active development authorities that can capture tax increment financing.
