Livable Neighborhoods
Oakland County offers residents quality, affordable housing in welcoming neighborhoods with access to parks and recreation, public transportation, and healthy food.

 Community Objectives

To measure progress toward our Livable Neighborhoods goal, we will:

  • Improve Housing Affordability so residents don’t pay more than they can afford to buy or rent, as measured by the percentage of households who spend more than 30% of their income for housing.
  • Create a Welcoming Community, as measured by the county’s net migration.
  • Ensure Access to Parks and Recreation, Transportation, and Healthy Food, as measured by the percentage of residents living within close proximity to all three.
