South Lyon figures into just about all the aspects of life for Dan Pelchat.

He has been the Mayor of the city since 2017 and began working as an intern in the Technology Department of the South Lyon Community Schools in 1998. He has worked there ever since, providing technology services to the district's 15 school buildings.

After attending the Specs Howard School of Media and Broadcasting, Pelchat has been the play-by-play voice for the South Lyon Varsity football team since 2014 and has been broadcasting local high school sports since 2006.

Pelchat has worked with Gridiron Greats, which helps former NFL players in need, and helps organize an annual golf tournament for the American Legion. He also works with the South Lyon Football program's annual Victory Day to help students who wouldn't normally get to have any experience with football.

He lives in South Lyon with his wife Meredith.
