Dr. Whitney Weiner was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and went to dental school at he University of Iowa College of Dentistry after graduating from the Colorado College.

Following dental school, she spent three years training in the post-graduate periodontics program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, was awarded a specialty certification in periodontics and earned a master's degree in Oral Science. Following residency, Dr. Weiner, moved to Australia with her husband and was the sole periodontist in three dental practices.

The couple moved back to the states and chose Birmingham to raise their son and Dr. Weiner ultimately started Whole Dental Wellness in 2017, opening a second office last year.

Dr. Weiner has lectured nationally and internationally on the the connection between dental disease and overall health as well as several aspects of Periodontology and Implantology.

In 2016, Dr. Weiner was honored as one of the "Top 25 Women in Dentistry" by Dental Product Report and named the "Most Interesting Person in Dentistry" for February by Curasan.com. In 2017, Incisal Edge named her in their "40 under 40" young rising dental stars in the nation.

When she's not working, Weiner also is a qualified professional ski instructor and loves spending time with her husband and their two boys.
