Dominic Vicari, a native of Clinton Township, graduated from Notre Dame in Harper Woods in 2003. After graduation, he attended Michigan State University to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice while also being the goalie of MSU's Hockey Team. Vicari left MSU early in his senior year of college to play in minor leagues for AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins and ECHL's Toledo Storm hockey teams.

Following his hockey career, he went back to school to pursue a degree in General Studies at Oakland Community College. He then became a part-time police officer for the Village of Armada Police Department and was assigned to the K9 unit to train their newest canine.

Vicari started his career in the restaurant industry when he was ten by washing dishes for the family business. Working his way up the ladder, he held many roles - prep cook, line cook, and kitchen manager at Andiamo in Sterling Heights. He then became the manager, general manager and the Director of Operations for the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, Operating Partner of Joe Muer Seafood in Bloomfield Hills, and currently, the operating Partner of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group.

The Joe Vicari Restaurant Group has brands from five-star dining to family friendly restaurants and employs more than 1,100 people at the eight restaurant brands.

In addition, the group also runs an Andiamo Food Truck and one of the largest Catering & Event Management Companies in Michigan.

Vicari is a resident of Clarkston.
