Annie Urasky is the Director of the Division on Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing within the Michigan Department of Civil Rights.

With more than nine years of experience in public administration, she is passionate about advocating for and ensuring the rights of Michiganders who are deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing. The Division assists state government agencies and relevant stakeholders in addressing the needs and concerns of individuals who are deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing. Born Deaf and a resident of Royal Oak, Urasky graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign.

Urasky spearheaded and oversaw the first comprehensive census of deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing populations in Michigan. In 2018, Urasky was recognized as one of 31 Deaf Women United "HerStory" awardees in the nation.
