Jason Sweet is a community leader, passionate about inspiring and guiding others and for the last decade, he has been entrenched in higher education and is currently the Director of Admissions and Outreach at Walsh College.

Sweet's journey began at Saginaw Valley State University in 2006. As an integral part of the formation and foundation of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity at SVSU, he held various positions, including two terms as chapter president. He currently serves as the Chair of the SVSU chapter's alumni board.

An active member of the Detroit Economic Club since 2013, Sweet has played a key role in many of the groups hallmark programs and events, including the club's Career Readiness Academy, a 7-month program that empowers the regions youth with business skills and career planning through ongoing communication and mentorship.

In 2017, Sweet was elected to join the DEC Young Leader Board of Directors, a group that provides direction for a membership of nearly 1,200 leaders under the age of 40.

Through his role as the Director of Admissions and Outreach at Walsh, he has helped reinvent high school student engagement and has played an important role in collaborating with the community colleges of the region.

Sweet was chosen as one of ten representatives from the city of Detroit to join 12 other cities from across the nation for Harvard Business School's 2018 Young American Leaders Program. He received his Bachelor's degree from Saginaw Valley State University in 2011 and his Master of Business Administration at Walsh College in 2017. He lives in Waterford with his wife.
